‘Originally a Silk Mill and situated within the beautiful and historic Oxfordshire village of East Hanney, Grade II Listed Dandridge’s Mill has now been sensitively restored in order to create four exclusive, low energy, sophisticated homes that make the most of their idyllic setting. Hallidays Hydropower have designed and generate its own electricity and heating using an Archimedean HydroScrew, which is the first domestic hydropower screw installation in the UK.
A 2.4m head with flow rate of 0.36m3/sec allowed for the installation of a 5kW scheme producing in excess of 27,000kWh a year.
